Canadian Rockies

Experience the wonder and majesty of Western Canada & the Rockies on this superb touring holiday that takes you through some of Canada’s most spectacular mountain scenery. Visit Calgary, Jasper, Lake Louise and the Banff National Park before joining the Rocky Mountaineer Train for the incredible 2 day journey that overnights in Kamloops. The splendid scenery enjoyed on this journey is enhanced by the attention and care offered by the on board staff. We also visit Vancouver and there is the option to join the Alaska Seas and Glacier Bay Cruise for a once in a lifetime holiday to remember.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1 - Fly direct from London Gatwick to Calgary. On arrival we take a guided orientation tour before heading towards the Banff National Park, arriving at the mountain resort of Banff for a two night stay.

Day 2 - Banff – Lake Louise . A full day tour of Banff and the surrounding area including the jewel of the Rockies, Lake Louise. Optional gondola tour to Sulphur Mountain (payable locally).

Day 3 – Banff - Jasper National Park. Expect spectacular scenery as we climb up the mountain passes and along the Icefields Parkway. Optional tour on the Ice Explorer Snow Coach (payable locally).

Day 4 – Jasper – Rocky Mountaineer Train – Kamloops. Climb aboard the Rocky Mountaineer for a spectacular journey across the Rockies, breaking our journey in Kamloops where we stay the night.

Day 5 – Re-board the train for the second day of our amazing journey to Vancouver, arriving in the late afternoon. Stay three nights on a bed and breakfast only basis (Quality Inn or similar).

Day 6 - Morning sightseeing tour of Vancouver. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 7 - Vancouver & Victoria. Leave the city this morning for a one hour ferry crossing to Victoria on Vancouver Island. Sightseeing tour with optional visit to Butchart Gardens (payable locally). Return to Vancouver and hotel.

Day 8 - Morning free in Vancouver. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for the return overnight transatlantic flight (or join optional cruise to Alaska – details on request).

Day 9 - Arrive back at London Gatwick in the morning. End of tour.
